Alright guys, today I will be reviewing the new Davidoff Nicaragua Robusto Tubo. These cigars feature a 10-year-old Habano Seed Nicaraguan Rosado wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Personally, I was very excited about Davidoff making a Nicaraguan cigar. Davidoff is a company known for it’s quality and incredibly balanced cigars.
Smooth from the light unlike other cigars that start off strong and mellow out after the first inch. There is a thick oaky taste and the mouthfeel of the smoke is creamy. There is a subtle hint of cedar. Medium bodied.
I take a moment to admire the gorgeous wrapper on this Davidoff. It is silky, and oily. Hints of sea salt and pepper emerge towards the middle. The draw is near perfect as the cigar produces a good amount of smoke. The aroma is also very pleasant.
The last portion of this cigar is packed with earth, pepper, and cedar. A sweet black licorice note is also present. Despite these bold notes, the Davidoff Nicaraguan Robusto is incredibly smooth through and through.
This is a great cigar for Dominican tobacco fans who want to try something a little different. It is complex and tasteful, just like Davidoff’s other offerings. They are now available in three sizes at Regency Cigar Emporium or on the web at RegencyCigar.com.
