Originally released in 2011 in Japan, this cigar was created for a charity event to commemorate the strength and bond of friendship upon the aftermath of an earthquake that struck the country. Davidoff Master Blenders used 3 Ligero, and 2 Seco tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, and a beautiful oily Habano seed Ecuadorian wrapper, all providing a specific stimulation to the palate that once blended, combine to create an exquisite balance, much like a strong friendship.
A classic format, this cigar is uniquely balanced, medium in flavor strength, but slightly stronger in tobacco intensity because of the Ligero tobacco. Davidoff Kizuna delivers favorable notes of walnut, honey, ginger spice, cream, leather, and milk chocolate.
TASTING NOTES
1/3 - There is stimulation of sweet, bitter and spice on the palate, and quite intense. Flavors of wood, dark chocolate and unsweetened espresso, with sweet notes of hazelnut and butterscotch.
2/3 - Saltier stimulation is now heightened along with sweet and spice. There are flavor notes of sweet hazelnut and salted caramel, fresh black pepper spice and creamy coffee. Aroma is woody with sweet notes of hazelnut and coffee.
3/3 - Aroma is mostly sweet and creamy with notes of wood and leather. Stimulation is less intense in the sweet region, with flavor notes of cedar wood, black pepper, creamy coffee and hints of earth.
