The Opus X ReXilient 2 Pack offers two cigars from Arturo Fuente’s tribute to the 25th anniversary of September 11. Each cigar carries the same white footband found in the full 20-count box. Notably, this smaller format makes the tribute more accessible without changing what the cigar represents.
Carlito Fuente Jr. created the Opus X ReXilient to mark 25 years since the September 11 attacks. He built the release around his own memory of that day, having been in Philadelphia with his father during a board meeting when it happened.
As a result, this project carries more personal weight than a typical Opus X release. The Churchill format featured in this 2-pack represents the majority of cigars in the original 20-count box.
This pack includes two of the Opus X Rexilient Churchill cigars, each marked with the white footband used throughout the full ReXilient release. Fuente has not disclosed the blend behind this cigar.
However, it comes from Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in the Dominican Republic, the same factory responsible for every Opus X release.
The full Opus X ReXilient box holds 20 cigars: 16 Churchills like the ones in this 2-pack, plus four box-pressed cigars wrapped in the American flag. Those four cigars sit at the center of the box, symbolizing the Twin Towers.
Consequently, this 2-pack offers a smaller way to experience part of that same tribute.
Arturo Fuente donates $11.00 from every full ReXilient box to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. That organization provides housing support to disabled veterans, Gold Star families, and the families of fallen first responders.
For smokers who want to experience this tribute without committing to a full box, the 2-pack offers a more approachable entry point. Meanwhile, it still connects directly to the same cause and story behind the full release.
Fuente has not confirmed whether this release will return in future years. As with the full box, availability is expected to be limited.
