Ferio Tego Milestones
Ferio Tego Milestones marks 100 years since the birth of Miles Davis. Ferio Tego created this cigar with the Miles Davis Estate and music company Reservoir as part of the official Centennial celebration. Notably, each box carries the exact same tribute in both name and packaging.
Milestones — A Cigar Built for Miles Davis’s Centennial
Ferio Tego named this cigar after Milestones, Davis’s landmark 1958 album and its title track. Consequently, the name works on two levels: a tribute to a specific record and a nod to how cigars often mark meaningful occasions.
Michael Herklots, Ferio Tego’s co-owner and blender, built the cigar around qualities he admires in Davis’s music. As a result, the blend aims for approachability and sophistication rather than raw strength.
What’s Inside the Ferio Tego Milestones Box of 10
Each Ferio Tego Milestones is a 6 x 50 Toro. The wrapper is Ecuador-grown Connecticut seed over a Honduran binder, while the filler blends tobacco from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
Additionally, every box holds 10 cigars beneath a lid featuring Miles Davis’s silhouette. Inside, an envelope holds one of four commemorative 5 x 7 reproductions of original Davis sketches.
The Story Behind the Name
Miles Davis wasn’t only a musician. He was also a visual artist, and his sketches carried the same expressive spirit as his music. Consequently, Ferio Tego built the sketch reproductions into every box rather than treating them as a separate collectible.
Rolled at the Factory Behind Camacho
Ferio Tego Milestones comes from Agroindustrias, a Davidoff-owned factory in Honduras better known for producing Camacho. However, the blend here has little in common with that brand’s bolder profile.
Should You Add Ferio Tego Milestones to Your Humidor?
For jazz fans and cigar collectors alike, this release offers a rare crossover: a cigar built around a specific album rather than a generic tribute. Meanwhile, retailers receive complete four-sketch sets, so a full run of boxes covers all four Davis illustrations.
Because Ferio Tego capped production at 1,600 boxes worldwide, availability is expected to be limited. Once this run sells through, the exact sketch pairings won’t be guaranteed to return.
