In the early 2000s, El Septimo embarked on a lifelong endeavor: to break free from limiting traditions that compromise the quality of the world's most renowned brands and instead offer consumers something innovative - the finest cigars in existence, crafted by cigar aficionados and master blenders.
Driven by dissatisfaction with monotonous flavors, premature inventories, subpar manufacturing, inadequate attention to detail and quality control, as well as the declining quality of Cuban crops, the El Septimo team resolved to start anew.
Their initial step involved sourcing the finest raw materials: impeccable tobacco leaves. With the increasing global demand for cigars, conventional brands had already exhausted the supply and depleted the soil through intensive farming practices. Consequently, it became imperative to locate new fertile land.
After years of exhaustive research and exploration of arable regions worldwide, the El Septimo team determined that they needed to establish their own source by blending top-quality tobacco from exceptional fields throughout Latin America, thus creating the ultimate recipe... This was the only way to achieve the predetermined standards they had set. Eventually, they discovered the perfect location to cultivate and age their exquisite seeds amidst the lush mountains of San Jose, Costa Rica.
