The Partagas 150 was rolled to commemorate Partagas’ century and a half of making cigars. There were only 1000 boxes of 10 of these cigars, originally rolled in 1995 by master blender Ramon Cifuentes. Despite there being 8 vitolas made for the Partagas 150 line, the 7 x 52 Don Ramon is the crown jewel of the line, and is without exaggeration one of the rarest cigars in the world. The Partagas 150 signature series got its reputation from the very old and rare cameroon wrapper that was harvested in 1978, 17 years before the cigars were rolled. At this point in time, the wrapper of that cigar is more than 45 years old! The binder is Connecticut Broadleaf, and the filler is Nicaraguan. The age of these cigars has changed the flavor of these, really bringing the body of the smoke down, but really bringing out the complexity of the blend.
