Expertly crafted by Carlos Fuente, this masterpiece harmoniously blends rare Dominican vintage tobaccos with a rich Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. The Churchill-sized Parejo, featuring a cedar sleeve, is widely acknowledged as one of the most iconic cigar shapes globally.
The Añejo brand was created in the aftermath of disaster. When Hurricane Georges tore through the Dominican Republic in 1998, wrecking many curing barns on Chateau de la Fuente, Carlos Fuente Jr. feared he wouldn’t be able to make his Fuente Fuente OpusX cigars, powerful smokes cloaked in wrapper leaves grown on that farm. Turning to his vast stocks of tobacco, he used aged, dark Connecticut broadleaf and put it on a Fuente Fuente OpusX bunch, creating a new brand he dubbed Arturo Fuente Añejo.
