The Añejo brand was created in the aftermath of disaster. When Hurricane Georges tore through the Dominican Republic in 1998, wrecking many curing barns on Chateau de la Fuente, Carlos Fuente Jr. feared he wouldn’t be able to make his Fuente Fuente OpusX cigars, powerful smokes cloaked in wrapper leaves grown on that farm. Turning to his vast stocks of tobacco, he used aged, dark Connecticut broadleaf and put it on a Fuente Fuente OpusX bunch, creating a new brand he dubbed Arturo Fuente Añejo.

The Arturo Fuente Anejo No 50 is distinguished by its luxurious Maduro wrapper, aged in Cognac barrels, providing a truly unique smoking experience. Crafted by the expert hands of Carlos Fuente, this masterpiece skillfully blends rare Dominican vintage tobaccos with a rich Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. Recognized worldwide, the Robusto-sized Parejo, featuring a cedar sleeve, stands as an iconic cigar shape.
