The Davidoff Royal Release is arguably the most meticulously and well crafted cigars to ever have been produced. From seed to cigar Davidoff to assure that the smoking experience is fitting of royalty.The journey from seed to cigar takes 10 an astonishing amount of time 10 years. Harvested separately from all the other crops, with curing taking place in the Royal Barn. A barn built with the sole purpose of curing tobacco for the Royal Release. The Tobacco is rigorously inspected with only the best bales selected to be aged for 8 additional years. Today's Royal Release cigars were born all the way back in the 2005/2005 crop. Only the finest rollers employed by Davidoff are allowed to roll these masterpieces. These 8 master rollers have between them, rolled over 7 million cigars; with each having at least 15 years experience. And with that a quality control regime that saw them adhering to over 170 steps throughout the process, they each have had a hand in creating an utterly unique experience.

EPC as a brand was created way back in the year 2010. At that time one of their core lines was the “Short Run”. The idea behind the short run was to utilize scarce and unique tobaccos that were not plentiful enough to produce a regular line. Today this is common practice in the industry. The last time Perez-Carillo produced a short run was in 2016. Now in 2021 the short run is back; utilizing the original band from 2010. As a result you will see “Retro” stamped on each box. The Short Run blend, by its design, changes each year, so don’t expect the 2021 release to taste like releases from the past.The 2021 Short Run Retro is made with an Ecuador Habano wrapper, binder from Nicaragua and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. The first production will include three sizes. A Short Play (5 x 50), Extended Play (6 x 52), Long Play (6 x 60). The first production will be extremely limited to only 40,000 and 150 retailers.

Another exceptional cigar has arrived from Davidoff this time in the form of the new Dominicana line. The Dominicana adds another refined; yet full bodied smoking experience to Davidoff's already robust portfolio of cigars. Sold in boxes of 10 the Dominicana looks stunning adorned with its classic Davidoff white label band as well as a golden foot band with 2014 on it. The year 2014 commemorates the year of the harvested tobacco featured in the blend. Something unique to this cigar that also makes it stand out from the crowd is its “pig-tailed” cap. Davidoff does this the highlight the mastery of its rollers; small details like that is what sets Davidoff apart.
