  1. The Newest Project From Tatuaje Cigar: The Tuxtla

The Newest Project From Tatuaje Cigar: The Tuxtla

Another unique project  from none other than Pete Johnson and Tatuaje Cigars is here! The new project is making use of one of the most unique wrapper leafs on the market which is the Mexican San Andres maduro. Pete decided to call this new project the Tuxtla.Tuxtla is the name of the city and municipality that is home to the vast majority of Mexico’s premium cigar industry. Petes taking things slow and releasing the project in three initial sizes. The Avion 13, Tatuaje 7th, and the Tatuaje T110, all of which are limited editions and will come in 25-count boxes. Each of the blends remain the same as the originals aside from the incorporation of a Mexican San Andres wrapper. One of Pete Johnson's missions with this unique project was to show people just how much the wrapper leaf can impact the overall flavor of a cigar. People are now able to smoke the original iteration and the Tuxtla side by side to see for themselves. The cigars are limited to two thousand boxes of each size.

  3. The Camacho Lineup

    The Camacho Lineup

For over fifty years the Camacho brand has pushed the envelope within the cigar industry in terms of producing the boldest flavors. That testament is no different here in 2022. Cmacho currently has four core lines that offer a bold flavor profile for any palate. The current lineup includes Camacho Connecticut, Corojo, Ecuador and Nicaragua.

    Camacho Connecticut:

This happens to be Camachos lightest and best selling line. Typical when the average person thinks of a CT cigar they think of super mild and one dimensional. Camacho has broken that stereotype with this cigar. These cigars are extremely creamy and balanced by just a touch of spice from its Honduran criollo binder.

    Filler:Honduras, Dominican Republic

    Wrapper:Honduras - Connecticut

    Binder:Honduras - Corojo

    Camacho Corojo:

The Corojo blend showcases what Camacho is best known for Corojo tobacco. The cigar offers rich flavors of Earth, Cedar and a rich

  4. Ashton VSG Review

    Ashton VSG Review

The Ashton VSG has become one of the most popular lines in Ashtons portfolio since its inception all the way back in 1999. The VSG in the cigars name refers to “Virgin Sungrown”;the prized Sumatra-seed wrapper. The wrapper leaf comes from Ecuador where the region’s delicate cloud cover filters sunlight creating optimal growing conditions. From there, it is fermented extensively by the Fuente family until it achieves its dark sheen. The wrapper is what truly makes this cigar stand out in my opinion. This cigar also marked a shift for the brand to more full bodied offerings and has consistently received high ratings industry wide.

    Tasting Notes:

The cigar starts off with an abundance of rich flavors. These flavors include some of my personal favorites: coffee and cedar. The cigar also offers some deep leather characteristics early on. There
