Davidoff Robusto Intenso Returns after 15 Years

The Limited Edition Davidoff Robusto Intenso will be available mid September 2020 in limited quantities! Davidoff announces the coming release of the limited edition “Robusto Intenso” a complex six tobacco blend aged for up to seven years. Originally released in 2005 to great accolades, the return will be highly anticipated. This year, only 4500 boxes have been made and if history has taught us anything, that will not be enough to satisfy the demand. About the Cigar, The box is adorned with six stars to represent the complex blend of six vintage tobaccos aged for seven years before being used in this extraordinary cigar. The first star is the Havana-seed filler tobacco, grown in the rich red soil of the land north of San Domingo, which signifies spice and intensity. The second star is the Piloto filler tobacco from an exclusive part of the Valle del Yaque, which lends depth to the aroma. The third star is the San Vincente Mejorado filler tobacco from Santiago Rodriguez, whi

  2. A Fan Favorite; the Davidoff Colorado Claro

A Fan Favorite; the Davidoff Colorado Claro

Introducing the Davidoff Colorado Claro; a fan and staff favorite at Regency Cigar. This is truly one of the most exceptional cigars in our humidor. What was once a limited release is now available year-round, and for that we are thankful. The cigar is variable in a variety of the most iconic sizes Davidoff has to offer. Sizes include short perfecto, special R, double R and my favorite the No. 3. What makes this cigar so exceptional is the wrapper. The Colorado Claro series features a rare sun-grown Connecticut Ecuador wrapper. The rich reddish colored wrapper is what provides the cigar with its delicious flavor profile. One of my favorite things about the claro is its versatility. It’s a flavorful enough cigar to satisfy a fuller bodied smoker but is smooth enough for a milder to medium bodied smoker to enjoy. This is truly a full-flavored cigar that doesn’t pack a huge nicotine punch. Overall the cigar displays notes of coffee, cedar, chocolate, cream and subtle spice. If you haven’t smoke

    Wrapper: Ecuador Connecticut

    Binder: Dominican Republic

  7. A Beginners Guide to Cigar Smoking: Cutting and Lighting A Cigar

    Cutting A Cigar

Regardless of who you are, or what cigar your smoking enjoying a premium hand made cigar always begins with cutting and lighting the cigar. Every individual has his or her own routine when it comes to doing this. However generally it begins with making some type of cut to the cigar in an effort  to remove part of the cap or flag leaf that closes the cigar, while leaving some of it glued around the end to keep the filler leaves together. In my experience it's always better to make a more shallow initial cut, then test the pre-light draw. If the initial cut is too deep the cigar can run the risk of unravelling.  Traditionally three types of cuts are used; a straight cut, punch cut or v-cut. For myself personally, and in my experience the majority of smokers select a straight cut, also known as a guillotine cut. Having a quality and sharp cutter makes this cut much easier and reduces the risk of damaging t

Many of us enjoy the luxury that comes along with smoking a premium hand made cigar; however very few know the effort that goes into making the cigars. A Beginners Guide to Cigar Smoking: Why We Smoke Cigars

We all smoke cigars for a variety of different reasons, but in my personal opinion it boils down to three main ones for the majority. The first is the relaxation that comes with smoking a premium cigar. Many of us live hectic lives, trying to balance a busy work schedule, running a household and maintaining a family life. Sitting down to enjoy a cigar; whether we are at home or at a local shop allows us an hour or two of escape. For this period of time the cigar forces us to sit down, decompress and shift focus away from everything except enjoying the cigar in our hand. The second reason we choose to smoke cigars if for the camaraderie that comes along with it . Although, smoking alone can be extremely enjoyable, the true magic of a cigar is the way they can bring people together.Cigars allow people of all walks of life to enjoy an hour or two of luxury and brings those individuals together. One of the newest edition to the Tatuaje line up of cigars is the Escasos, which means rare. This a cigar that has been in the works for the better part of a decade. This line by Pete Johnson is unique and special for a few reasons. Firstly, all of the tobacco used for Escasos would be of a Havana-seed origin and secondly, all of the cigars would be produced in Miami. The Escasos line allowed Johnson to release unique, experimental and limited production product out of the Miami facility.
