God of Fire Serie B: Review

The brand God of Fire was first introduced to humidor shelves all the way back in 2004. From the very beginning the focus was put on producing the highest quality; when it comes to both the smoking experience and presentation. God of Fire features ultra-premium aged tobacco’s and the cigars are produced in what Is arguably the best factory in the world Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in the Dominican Republic. God of Fire cigars have five different blends: KKP Special Reserve, Serie B, Serie Aniversario, By Don Carlos, and By Carlito. For this I’d like to focus on one of my personal favorites the Serie B line of cigars.

The Series B line features some dark wrapper cigars produced by God of Fire. These cigars are some of the richest and most complex; offered by the brand. The Serie B actually features two different wrapper leaves, depending on the size selected. The Double Robusto and Gran Toro features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The Robusto and Robusto Gordo feature an Ecuadorian wrapper. Although, all sizes in the line feature Dominican binder and filler.

Review:

Size Smoked- Gran Toro (6X56)

The first thing that you notice when you pick up these cigars (aside from the beautiful double bands) is the rich and dark espresso colored wrapper leaf. Before the cigar is even lit you can pick up rich notes of dark chocolate and cedar. Once lit the cigar features notes of leather, spice and wood with a subtle sweetness complementing them nicely. As the cigar progresses, I pick up notes of espresso and cedar. The subtle spice begins to dissipate remaining present primarily on the retrohale. Overall this cigar is fantastic and complex and features a ton of flavors without a ton of strength. I would put this cigar as being squarely medium in body. As a result, I think this is a great cigar for both novice and experienced smokers. If you hand this to a fuller bodied smoker he won’t be underwhelmed by the flavors and a lighter bodied smoker won’t be overpowered by nicotine.
