    In a significant victory for proponents of anti-tobacco measures, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has upheld a groundbreaking generational tobacco ban endorsed by voters and implemented by the town of Brookline. This legislation prohibits individuals born after January 1, 2000, from purchasing tobacco products and e-cigarettes, effectively paving the way for what has been termed a tobacco-free generation.

    Associate Justice Dalila Argaez Wendlandt, in her ruling, emphasized the alignment of the bylaw with local regulations permitting the restriction or prohibition of tobacco sales. She stated, "The bylaw is rationally connected to a legitimate government interest and does not conflict with the minimum age standard set by the state."

    The Padrón Black PB97 is available in both Natural and Maduro variations, crafted entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco and shaped into a 6 3/4 x 54 torpedo vitola. Jorge Padrón indicated to halfwheel that the Padrón Black series offers a profile that falls between the Serie 1926 and Family Reserve lines in terms of richness.

    While specific production figures have not been disclosed, Padrón mentioned that the PB97 will be a one-time release, exclusively available to retailers who attended the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show and placed orders during the event.

    nce again, Tatuaje has unveiled an exclusive cigar crafted solely for retailers attending the PCA Convention & Trade Show. This edition mirrors the size of its counterpart designed for the Tobacconists’ Association of America. However, distinguished by its Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, unlike the Connecticut broadleaf wrapper of the TAA's version. Tatuaje reaffirms its commitment by pledging a donation of 50 cents per cigar to both organizations, resulting in a total contribution of $25,000 each to the PCA and the TAA.
