New to The Humidor: Atebey Cigars

The name Atabey originates from the Taino Indians' Supreme Deity, believed to be the world's first female. Held in high esteem by the now extinct Taino civilization across the Caribbean Islands, Goddess Atabey was revered as the Mother of Yucahu, the principal male deity. She embodied the Mother Goddess, overseeing aspects of the Moon, Sea, Fertility, and Birth. Known also as the Mother of Waters, she was credited with nurturing rivers, lakes, and seas, enabling the cultivation of vital crops like cassava and tobacco.

Tainos honored Atabey through rituals involving frog imagery, believed to embody her protective presence during childbirth. Cave drawings depicted her with distinct features, including large eyes and open legs, symbolizing fertility.

Atabey was typically venerated during nocturnal ceremonies, especially during full moons. These rituals involved tribal men dressed as witches, engaging in solemn dances around the Bejique, the tribe's spiritual leader. Tobacco

The CAO Vision Is Back For 2022

The CAO Vision is back and better than ever for 2022. The Vision was first released by CAO back in 2007 and took cigar packaging and presentation to an entirely new level. The vision boxes incorporated led lighting which to my knowledge hadn't ever been done. CAO took a 13 year hiatus and released a new cigar in 2020; reviving the line. The Beautiful CAO Humidor for 2022 comes with 30 cigars. The Humidor features rechargeable LED Lights that turn on when the touch-sensitive drawers are operated. The orange LEDs make the cigars stand out and compliment the dark honduran wrapper on the sticks well. The cigar itself 6 x 52 toro that is made from of habano-seed tobaccos, including a wrapper from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras over a binder from Jalapa, Nicaragua and fillers from the Condega, Estelí and Ja

Once the exquisite tobacco is harvested it is then aged for more than 12 years. Once the aging and curing is complete.
