God of Fire Serie Anniversario 54: Review

Wrapper: Ecuador

Binder: Dominican

Filler: Dominican

Size: 7.5 X 54

The God of Fire Anniversario blend was first released back in 2014, to celebrate the brands 10th anniversary of producing cigars. For the Aniversario release, the blender decided on using an Ecuadorian wrapper with Dominican binder and filler, and the cigar is offered in three figurado vitolas. The cigars themselves are eye catching featuring black and gold trimmed bands featuring Prometheus himself. Between the bands and the size of the cigars these are in my opinion one of the the eye catching cigars in the humidor.

Tasting Notes:

The cigar begins immediately with notes of roasted coffee and leather. It's also important to note that hints of sweetness and spice linger in the foreground and on the retrohale. At about the midway point the Anniversario begins to come into its own. The flavors and overall profile begin to ramp up. The overall profile stays consistent, but the overall intensity of the flavors begin to stand out. The thing that stands out most about this cigar is its overall balance of flavors. If you're looking for an extremely balanced medium bodied smoke look no further than God of Fire’s Anniversario line of cigars.
