Tatuaje Cojonu 2012: The Cigar With Three Wrappers
The Tatuaje Cojonu series of cigars is comprised of 5 vintage blends, that have been created with the fuller bodied cigar conscious in mind.Pronounced Koh-ho-NU, the term is Cuban slang for someone who is brash or ballsy. However for this post we will look more closely at the Cojonu 2012. The most unique aspect of the Cojonu 2012 is that its offered in not one, not two, but three different wrappers. These beautiful 6.5 X 52 boxed pressed cigars offered in a Habano, Sumatra and Broadleaf wrappers. Each of the unique wrapper leafs are draped over the same Nicaraguan binders and fillers. I personally enjoy when manufacturers release the same blends with a variation of its wrapper leaf. It's a great opportunity for us as cigar smokers to see just how different wrapper varieties affect the smoking experience of a cigar. Regardless of the wrapper the Cojonu 2012 will boast a fuller bodied smoking experience featuring notes of pepper, earth and chocolate. With each wrapper adding to or enhancing one of these flavors.
