Each and every year davidoff releases a special cigar in November that pays homage to the yearly celebration of the Chinese New Year with a limited edition around a Chinese zodiac. To coincide with these special cigars Davidoff also releases some extremely unique and limited accessories. This year that's been taken to the next level with the release of an extremely special humidor; The Davidoff Masterpiece Humidor. Each of the Year of the Rabbit Masterpiece humidors comes with 88 limited-edition gran toro cigars exclusively crafted for the Masterpiece and the Davidoff Flagship Exclusive. These humidors will be extremely limited with only 25 being made for the entire world. The humidor is designed by Rose Saneuil who is a French artist who has mastered and enhanced the craft of marquetry. This is actually the second time the two have collaborated. collaboration with the Weller bourbon brand; using spent barrels that previously held Weller bourbon to age tobaccos.The Weller by Cohiba is a 6 x 50 toro that comes presented in a eye-catching tube and a 10 count box. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper draped over Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic. The blend also incorporates tobaccos from Estelí, Nicaragua and three regions in Honduras: Jamastran, La Entrada and Olancho San Agustin.The Connecticut broadleaf binder is barrel-aged in spent Weller twelve year bourbon barrels for an undisclosed amount of time. The blend itself is very unique; Yamasa tobaccos were aged in Bourbon barrels, which deliver an additional sweetness to the notes of roasted almonds, milk coffee and oak wood. Created as a blend for our Master Blenders to enjoy themselves in 2012, these cigars were rolled two years ago and have been aging under careful supervision ever since. The cigars are extremley limited in quantity produced, with only 1500 boxing reachingthe US.
