LFD Solis; By La Flor Dominicana

La Flor Dominicanas most recent release was blended by Gomez Jr.'s and is named Solis, drawing inspiration from the Spanish word "sol," meaning "sun." The blend was aimed to contrast the popular La Nox blend from LFD. This cigar is a toro extra, measuring 6 1/2 x 50, and showcases an Ecuadorian habano leaf as its wrapper. The binder is crafted from an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf, while the filler originates from La Flor Dominicana's La Canela farm in the Dominican Republic. This is an anticipated release for myself personally because i have been a big fan of both the La nOX and La Volcada. I can say after smoking my first Solis I was not disappointed. The cigar is full i flavor yet medium in body offering rich notes of leather, earth, cocoa; rounded out by a subtle spice. I can say this will be a cigar that i plan on adding to my rotation going forward.
