Davidoff Dominicana: Review
Since its release in May of 2021 the Davidoff Dominicana has quickly became one of if not my "go to" Davidoffs. I would say its safe to say that it has been my most constantly smoked cigar so far this year. This cigar is one that checks all the boxes for me; especially the Robusto size. The cigar itself has a great look featuring the classic white label Davidoff band. It also has a gold foot band that definitely distinguishes it from other white label lines. The cigar I'm smoking for the review is the Robusto size. The cigar features Dominican wrapper and filler with an Ecuadorian binder. As you light the cigar it opens up with a rich cedar along with some subtle baking spices; especially on the retrohale. The cigar also offers an abundance of creaminess. As the cigar warms more earthiness becomes present as well a subtle dryness on the palate. Pepper is also present as well as a rich leather component. The cigar is definitely medium to full. The cigar finishes very nicely balancing all the flavors mentioned above. Overall this is an extremely complex and balanced offering from Davidoff that in my opinion is a must try.
