Davidoff Winston Churchill Late Hour Review

Overview:

The Winston Churchill Late Hour line has become a staple and best seller in Davidoffs ever growing portfolio. The cigar was released back in 2017 on the heels of the success of the Original WC line. The name was inspired by Sir Winston Churchill's ability to do his best work late into the evening.  When  most  were  thinking  of  their  beds,  Sir  Winston  Churchill  was thinking  how  best  to  run  a  country  or  inspire  a  nation  with  the  power  of  his  words.  His  strength  and creativity did not wane when the natural light of day faded. What makes this cigar so unique is the fact that some of the tobacco is actually aged within a scotch whiskey cask .

Review:

Cigar Late Hour Churchill (7X48)

The cigar begins with some deep earth notes as well as cedar; also present is some subtle spice. The spice is definitely most prevalent on the retrohale. As the cigar begins to prohgress and warm up the richness from the scotch aging process begins to shine through. I'm getting notes of vanilla, raisin and a touch of sweetness. These flavors are really nicely balanced by the cedar and earth already present. As the cigar finishes it becomes slightly oaky as well as giving off a slightly floral character. Overall the body is medium to full. This cigar offers a ton of unique flavors and complexity. This cigar is a must try and has become a great addition to Davidoffs line up.
